In 2001 Marty Loveday a local native started in the real estate business with his father-in-law Bill Barnes and Aillenn McInturf, Bill's sister; both children of the late Pritchard Barnes the first licensed real estate agent in Sevier County. As they were getting ready to retire Marty started with a local auction company to get more training. Marty attended Reppert School of Auctioneering and graduated in Spring of 2003. After completing his 2yr apprenticeship he was fully licensed by the State of Tennessee as an Auctioneer. In this process Marty opened up his first location in Sevierville, TN. As the company grew Marty Loveday & Associates became one of Sevier County's leading Real Estate and Auction firms.

In Jan 2008 Marty Loveday along with Rod Davis opened up Marty Loveday & Associates Real Estate & Auctions of Seymour. Seymour, Tennessee is located just west of Sevierville at the Knox County and Blount County and Sevier County lines. Knoxville being one of the major cities in Tennessee and home to the University of Tennessee Volunteers. Since opening this location, Marty feels that they can service the people of Sevier, Blount, and Knox County more effectively.
